Brough Leadership Institute is made up of a team of highly qualified leadership and organizational consultants.

  • Dr Andrew Brough is a international learning consultant, organizational development practitioner, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Dr Gustav Gous obtained his Doctorate (cum laude), in Ecumenical Studies & International Relations from the University of Pretoria, following his research in Geneva, Switzerland. He also has degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. He lectured  at the University of South Africa (4 years) and the University of Pretoria (4 years), and has published two academic books. In 2009 he was elected President of the Professional Speakers Assoication of Southern Africa (PSASA)

    Professional life & Career:

  • Dr Mark Manley specialises in the areas of Strategy, Leadership and Transformation.  He has  developed a number of new processes that have been shown to be highly effective and consults internationally to large businesses, key governmental departments, FBOs and NGOs. Practically this involves facilitating high level processes, leading and speaking at seminars and conferences, conducting tutorials and individual leadership coaching.


  • James Mpele has over 20 years experience as a change agent, coach, and trainer. He combines a detailed knowledge of personal, group and organizational change technologies with a broad background in business, entrepreneurship and education. He brings to his consulting and training work a broad multi-disciplinary background in business, organizational dynamics, and human psychology.

    Professional Background:

  • Julie Hollely is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Professional Qualifications:

    BPsych (UPE, Port Elizabeth)

    Masters in Counselling Psychology (NMMU, Port Elizabeth)

    Certified user of the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (SHL, Pretoria)

    Licentiate in Christian Counselling (Counselling Institute of South Africa)

    Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills (United Kingdom)

  • Keith du Plessis spent seven years in broadcasting, during which time he was part of the team that re-positioned, re-branded and re-launched one of South Africa’s national radio stations. That experience gave him valuable insight into change management and transitioning leadership.

    Relevant Training Experience:

  • Manie Bosman is a leadership development and strategic foresight practitioner with more than 17 years of leadership experience in various African countries. Based in Pretoria, South Africa, Manie also has extensive experience in mass media and communication, cross-cultural interaction, future foresight, strategic planning, public speaking, negotiations, training and team development.

  • Michelle Hill is a customer experience practitioner based in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. With more than 10 years experience in strategic planning, project management, training, team development and change management she has embraced all principles as cornerstones to her immersion in customer experience. Michelle specializes in customer experience fundamentals such change management principles, journey mapping, training and facilitation.
